Terms

Minimum rental period is 1 day.  Reserved equipment is considered a hold only, equipment must be booked 48 hours prior to the job.  Cancellation of booked equipment will result in a rental charge.  Three-day week is available.

Rental Policy

Commando Lighting and Grip is a three ton lighting package owned and operated by Dallas gaffer, Darrel Tawney.  A customer may rent the truck and use him as your gaffer, or you may use your own.  Darrel will also work as a grip or electrician / driver if available.  Outside drivers must be approved by Commando Lighting and Grip.  All gaffers, grips, and drivers bill as individuals and are not part of the truck and equipment rental.

  • Customer must have proof of insurance on file 24 hours prior to rental.
  • Customer must confirm rental 48 hours prior to rental.
  • Customer must provide Credit Card information for billing.
  • Customer must sign rental policy agreement 24 hours prior to rental.
  • Customer needs to sign and have on file a Sales Tax Exemption form.

{Texas tax code Section 151.3185 states that equipment rented and used directly in the production of a motion picture or video is exempt from sales tax.}  The law also requires us to have a signed original on file.  You may not need a Texas Sales Tax number.

Equipment package rented per day basis with a minimum of one day. 

Out of state customers must pay the rental bill at the end of the job.

First time customers must pay rental bill at the end of the job.

Customers with established credit, rental is due net 30 days.
